In 1983, God called Sidney P. Malone through an audible voice to minister His Word. By faith, he grabbed the vision, which soon exploded into reality. After seven years of biblical study inspired by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Malone began teaching the life changing principles found in the Word of God. Seven years later, he founded New Growth In Christ Christian Center on August 4, 1990. The ministry formed from a weekly bible study of six college students in an upstairs bedroom of the home of his mother, Evangelist Myrtle Malone. All of them were eager to hear and do God’s Word. Since then, the church has held services in several locations. Pastor James Rhodes, allowed us to use his church building on Friday nights for a weekly service. We soon grew again and moved to the home of our Pastor’s grandmother, Evangelist Christine Bell. From there, we were blessed to acquire a gymnasium which accommodated us comfortably for a couple of years. In March 10, 1994, NGIC settled into its own home at 2568 Sparks Road, Memphis, TN.

NGIC held it first service November 2004 in its new facility located at 7550 East Shelby Drive, Memphis, Tennessee. This location will accommodate and host this growing vision and testify of God’s faithfulness as He continues to brings it to past. We at NGIC declare that we are a multicultural, international, mega-ministry, fulfilling the plan of God throughout the earth. Out of this ministry leaders and Pastors are being raised to equip God’s people bringing them to full maturity. In 1992, Ministry Training International formally Ministry Training Institute was formed with the purpose of providing superior ministerial training to those who have been called to the five-fold ministry and the ministry of helps. Last year the ministry school celebrated its eleventh year anniversary. Over 82 ministers have graduated from M.T.I. since its establishment. NGIC has a growing congregation of over 1200 members. The Ministry of Helps consists of 25 departments with over 250 members serving. NGIC currently has 12 full-time employees. The Ministerial Staff consists of Pastor Michael Hill, COO of NGI & Asst. Pastor of Membership, Pastor James Bulloch, Jr., CFO & Assistant Pastor of Business & Finance, Min. Marcus Walker, Youth Minister, Alice Waller, NGIC Church Business Administrator and L. Deneice Andrews, Executive Administrator to Dr. Malone. NGIC is an anointed, contemporary, cutting edge church on the move where the Spirit of God always manifests His glory. As we continue to trust God every step of the way, we don’t expect anything less from the Father, but favor, increased grace and anointing as we following our visionary, Apostle Sidney P. Malone.
